In a subsequent phase, another extrusion line was equipped with a unit for slitting adhesive films. These slotted adhesive films (Photo 2) are a specialty of Pontacol and enable efficient, high-performance adhesion, particularly when bonding lightweight honeycomb panels. They also provide a sound-insulating effect in fiberglass textile components, such as car headliners.

These measures not only meet market demands but also contribute to greater efficiency in the production process. The conversion took place within the production halls without causing any disturbances to the neighborhood or disruptions to ongoing operations. Delivery capabilities were maintained throughout the conversion process, allowing the new investment to become operational in the past few days.
