\nThe required metal is laminated with a multilayer thermoplastic adhesive film, followed by an injection molding process onto the adhesive film coated metal. The pre-coating process of the metal with the adhesive film is clean, environmentally friendly and cost-efficient. Pontacol multilayer adhesive films are specially designed to have a strong adhesion to metal on one side, whiles the other side is specific matching high bonding strength to the injected polymers such as ABS, PC-ABS or PA. Through the cohesive connection of otherwise incompatible materials such as metal and plastic, they enable an even distribution of force, which opens up new application possibilities for lightweight structural components.
