Pontacol operates at the sites in Schmitten, Switzerland and Buxtehude, Germany, modern production facilities for the blown and flat extrusion of thermoplastic adhesive films and functional films based on polymers that are difficult to process. The origins of the company go back to Sarna Xiro in Switzerland and to the companies Balatros and Gutacol in Germany. The company has been extruding thermoplastic films at its location in Buxtehude, Germany, for 50 years now and has continuously pushed ahead with specializing in thermoplastic adhesive films and coatings. In recent years, significant investments have been made at both production sites (Switzerland and Germany). In addition to the renovation and expansion of buildings and facilities, an energy-optimized administration building was built at the Buxtehude site in 2019.

Wide and proven film assortment
Pontacol has 50 years of experience and a high level of expertise in the extrusion and development of technically sophisticated adhesive films as well as a broad portfolio of ready-to-use adhesive films for the global target markets of textiles, composites, electronics, personal care and ballistic protection. Adhesive films certified according to ECO-Passport are available for textile applications.
